    Helpful Hints

    Keeping sports simple.

We have been involved in youth sports for 40 years and we have learned a lot about participating and hosting youth sports events. Everything we are about to share with you will sound like common sense, that's because it is. Even with that said you would be surprised!

1.Search out the youth sports teams/organizations in your community. If and when you exhaust this avenue, we suggest you form your

       own team/organization.

    2. Be or find someone who is capable of coaching your youngsters.

    3. Designate a parent or parent collective to handle the teams finances. A person or group of people who are willing to collect sports

event fees from the team's parents and is willing to be in charge of any necessary fundraisers. This person should not be the coach.

    4. Pay all entry fees with one transaction. This will eliminate any chance for confusion.

    5. When travelling to an event make certain you have a contact phone number to event officials at the event site. This information should

be included in the coaches package of which you should receive a week before the event.

    6. Double check your player waivers, if you forget them your players may not be allowed to participate. Most events will have copies of

blank waivers in case of an emergency. Remember NO WAIVER, NO PLAY.

    7. Double check to make sure players have not left medications like inhalers at home.

    8. Double check all gear such as extra uniforms(light or dark), balls, first aid kit, score book and other essential equipment.

    9. Double check to make sure that you have everyone scheduled to make the trip in a vehicle traveling to the event.
